The Touring's beading rail is relatively low due to the lifting roof and runs completely horizontally around the caravan. A disadvantage is that the construction is very susceptible to water leakage along the beading. A rain strip is available for this purpose. Initially, we couldn't install the strip at all. It's hard plastic. Heating it with a hairdryer didn't help, nor did tapping it with a rubber hammer.

The strip had narrowed in several places and couldn't be slid or pressed onto the caravan rail. The solution was to widen the channel of the strip with a large flat-head screwdriver. We had previously rounded off the sharp corners of the strip. The strip is now barely noticeable and stays in place permanently.

But unfortunately....

Even with the rain strip, we still had massive leaks in our Dometic Pro Air awning. Rainwater kept pouring down the entire side of the caravan.
